Rig it the way you like it!
I was going to Junk Rig it and have located a source and priced the new aluminum masts I would use, brand new at an exceptionally great price. (I will pass this information on should you be interested?)
Bruce Roberts designed steel sailboat with beautifully radius chine hull with raised salon. 53’ on deck, 56' length overall, 16' beam.
Floor framing and sub-floors all in place with excess of 6'4" headroom throughout.
Interior roughed in as open concept design.
Looking forward of the raised salon/navigation station area is very large open concept for planned large living salon area and large kitchen and dining area.
Forward is a stateroom that is designed to accommodate long double bed or could easily be upsized for a queen(frame work installed) and a head/shower.
Aft stateroom designed to accommodate full sized king bed a head/shower and laundry (frame work installed).
Newly fabricated aluminum cabin top, it was designed as removable (bolt-on) for the ability to move this ship by land with no restriction, when and if needed.
Constructed from aluminum as to be corrosion resistant and lightweight, so it can be un-bolted then lifted by hand and moved or craned off.
2 newly fabricated bilge keels AKA twin keels loosely based on a Roberts 54’ bilge keel plans that were purchased to enable replacement of center keel.
This would reduce draft from 6.5ft to approximately 4ft allowing the vessel greater options for travelling in more shallow areas.
It will also enable the vessel to rest upright on the hard when anchored in the appropriate area close to shore at high tide allowing for inspection and various maintenance tasks of underside at low tide.
These bilge keels have not yet been installed and center keel is still intact should purchaser wish to retain conventional keel and rig vessel as cutter or otherwise (it was originally built to be used as a cutter rig).Call or email for complete specs.
